Pakistan student blackmails American citizen, drives her to suicide
An American national took her own life over alleged blackmail by a Pakistani student who used the promise of marriage to take compromising images and then extort her, Samaa News reported on Thursday.
According to the report, the accused first befriended the foreign citizen while promising to marry her. In the process, the student took compromising images of the woman which he then used to blackmail her.
The cybercrime wing of the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) has arrested two university students from Faisalabad following a complaint by the American Embassy.
The FIA officials said that they had recovered objectionable material from the accused which would be presented in court.
They added that the accused had been involved in over a dozen similar cases where they had extorted money from other foreign national women as well.
The accused are students of Government College University Faisalabad.
