Makeup artist Omayr Waqar has sent a legal notice of his own to actor Sana Javed in response to the latter's defamation notice against him, while uploading pictures of the same on his social media page.

“Be humble in heart and wise in response,” he wrote in the post’s caption.

Waqar's move follows that of Javed, in which the actor sent defamation notices to him, model Manal Saleem and stylist Aneela Murtaza. In it, she accused them of launching a smear campaign against her.

The makeup artists has denied the allegation made by Javed in the legal notice, with his legal team calling it concocted.

"That the contents of paragraph 2 are denied as concocted. It is submitted that at no point did our client name your client and has no nexus whatsoever with Manal Salem whatsoever," read the notice.

"It is a well known fact that the entire social media is brimming with stories about your client and her demeanor in general, which has nothing to do with our client and as such this notice is nothing but a feeble attempt to harass and coerce our client from exercising his freedom of expression guaranteed to him under the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan,” it added.

The entire episode began when model Saleem shared on her Instagram stories - since expired - how an actor she worked with belittled her. “Requesting all the clients to not ask me to shoot with any actress/celebrity ever again. With their self-entitled attitudes they think we are 'do takay ki models,” said Saleem without naming the actor. “The audacity to say that on my face! Hum bhi kam krne atay hain, muft main zaleel honay nahi atay,” she added. Saleem’s story can be seen in the highlights section of her Instagram profile.

Makeup artist Waqar reposted Saleem’s story on his profile and wrote, “guess who is she (Saleem) talking about? P.S it's just one person, not all actresses are the same.” He didn’t name the person in question either.

Later, two other makeup artists - Rhyan Thomas and Ikram Gohar - posted their “horrible” experiences while naming Javed. However, they didn’t receive any legal notices from the actor.

Saleem’s claim has been corroborated by one Syed Hussain, who was the makeup artists for both women at the day of the incident.
