At least 100 racers from all over the country have been competing to secure the title of 17th Cholistan Desert Jeep Rally, Pakistan's biggest motor sports event that started on February 8, reported Anadolu Agency.

The four-day competition started on Tuesday with an opening ceremony and it will be concluded on February 13.

The breathtaking rally has been taking place in the heart of the country's Cholistan desert, one of the most difficult natural conditions for racing cars.

The 500-kilometer rally that covers three districts of Punjab, including Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalnagar and Bahawalpur, is divided into three different categories, such as stock, prepared and women.

At least 10 female racers participated in the competition this year.
