Plight of Pakistani prisoners in Saudi Arabia brought to life
Renowned actor Sania Saeed gives voice to author Muhammad Hanif's story
It is the ultimate dream for Pakistan's Muslims, regardless of their socio-economic class, to visit Saudi Arabia for Hajj or Umrah and for some this dream turns into a nightmare.
Renowned author and journalist Muhammad Hanif, in his short story, perfectly encapsulates the story of one such woman, who was sent to Hajj by a man claiming to be her son’s friend with a bag full of drugs. The story is sad on its own but Sania Saeed’s narration has made it haunting.
