‘Music has no boundaries’: Pakistan mourns Lata Mangeshkar’s demise

Pakistan on Sunday mourned the death of ‘India’s nightingale’ Lata Mangeshkar, with messages and wishes for the late singer – giving an example of the fact that “music has no boundaries.”

Bollywood superstar singer Lata Mangeshkar, known to millions as the “nightingale of India” and a regular fixture of the country’s airwaves for decades, died on Sunday at the age of 92. She passed away in a Mumbai hospital after being admitted to its intensive care unit on January 11 with Covid-19 symptoms.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry paid tribute to the legendary singer, saying that the "melodious queen ruled the world of music for decades."

Singer-cum-actor Ali Zafar paid the tribute to the legendary singer with a “humble tribute”.

Singer-cum-philanthropist Shehzad Roy also expressed his grief.

PPP leader Sherry Rehman also showered praised upon the Indian singer and shared one of her iconic songs.
