SC dismisses contempt of court appeal against chairman NAB
ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) on Monday has dismissed a contempt of court appeal against National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal.
A three-member bench headed by justice Umar Ata Bandial heard the matter.
During the proceedings, the apex court remarked that the appeal against the chairman NAB is inadmissible.
Justice Omar Ata Bandial said that the court cannot order a NAB inquiry against a political leader or a federal minister at the behest of anyone.
The apex court dismissed the contempt petition against the chairman NAB as inadmissible.
It is to be mentioned here that a petitioner Ahsan Abid had filed a contempt of court petition against NAB chairman for not completing inquiry against Federal Minister Khusro Bakhtiar.
