Foreign Office spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chahudary on Friday condemned the Twitter remarks of Afghanistan National Security Adviser (NSA) Hamdullah Mohib accusing Pakistan of interfering in Afghanistan's internal matter.

The FO spokesperson strongly condemned the "baseless insinuations" by the Afghan NSA. He said Pakistan’s role in the Afghan peace process has been widely acknowledged by the international community.

“Repeated impertinent and unwarranted remarks by Afghan NSA are deeply concerning, tantamount to calculated attempt by his office to disregard & nullify peace process,” FO added.

Chahudary's remarks came after Mohib on Twitter dismissed Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi's remarks as "ignorant. While referring to Shah's interview with TOLOnews, Mohib said:

"This comes as Taliban launches violent offensives against Afghan people across the country, we know how & why they continue to be enabled to do this. Quraishi is either uninformed, ignorant or accomplice. Maybe he also rejects that, Osama was found next to Pakistani Military HQ."

This is the second time Pakistan has had to issue a strong warning to the Afghan NSA in recent weeks.

On June 5, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had asked Mohib to "reflect and correct" his behavior after his comments against Pakistan.
