This puts the country third on the list of countries that have the given most number of jabs. Only the United States and India have given more jabs than the UK.

The successful vaccination campaign of the UK has proven to be a game-changer in the country's battle against the novel coronavirus infection as the number of new cases and deaths are declining gradually.

It proves that vaccines work and getting to herd immunity by vaccinating the masses (at least 60-70% of a country's population) is the only way we can eradicate the deadly virus.
