Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said the opposition is not ready to sit with treasury benches to discuss and introduce the electoral reforms and make the electoral system transparent.

Talking to a private news channel, he said the opposition is not serious in resolving the national issues by working with the government.

The minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan wants to uplift the living standards of common people and working towards this end he has taken several initiatives for the welfare of masses.

Replying to a question, he said Prime Minister being well aware of the country's politics, would never dissolve the assemblies.

Sheikh Rashid said Kashmir is a core issue between Pakistan and India hence its resolution is essential for establishment of durable peace in the South Asia.

He said Pakistan will never leave Kashmiris alone and continue to extend moral, diplomatic and political support for their independence movement.
