Coronavirus: India remains the epicenter as global cases exceed 150 million
To date, there have been more than 151 million coronavirus infections reported globally. It took the world almost 16 months to cross the grim milestone of 150 million cases.
In the past 24 hours, among all the countries India reported the most number of new cases as over 386k people tested positive for the virus. With a 7-day average of 357k cases, the most populated South Asian country remains the global epicenter of COVID-19 as it is by far the most adversely affected country by the deadly flu bug in the ongoing global surge.
As per the latest statistics provided by the esteemed Johns Hopkins University, the global Covid situation is as follows:

Patients Reported Recovered: 87.6M
Reported Deaths: 3.17M
