One Rangers official was martyred and eight others were injured in a blast that took place on Monday evening near a Rangers vehicle in Karachi's Orangi Town area, reported local media.

According to the details, more than two Rangers officials have sustained injuries in the blast. Injured have been shifted to the nearest hospital for treatment.

As per the police, the blast took place at a busy street in the area. According to the initial assessment, bomb could have been planted by the roadside or in a motorcycle near the site.

Rangers and police have reached the area of the blast and codoned off the area.
