ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) on Thursday ordered to release accused in case of murder of journalist Daniel Pearl.
Supreme Court bench head by Justice Mushir Alam dismissed the petition of the Sindh government against Sindh High Court (SHC) decision to overturn the conviction of accused.
A three-judge bench of the apex court announced the short order. One member of the apex- bench accepted Sindh government's appeal.
“The court has come out to say that there is no offence that he has committed in this case,” Mahmood Sheikh, counsel who represented Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, told AFP.
