COVID-19: Pakistan reports 23 deaths, lowest daily mortality rate in two months
Pakistan on Monday reported 23 death due to COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, which is the lowest number of daily deaths recorded since the second wave began in the country.
According to the latest statistics shared by the National Command and Operation Centre's (NCOC), 23 deaths were reported during the last 24 hours, meanwhile, 2,414 patients recovered. 36607 tests were taken across the country, of which 1,629 came out positive.
The national tally of confirmed cases now currently stands at 534041 with 2218 patients being critically ill. Pakistan has so far reported 11318 deaths and 488903 recoveries ever since the pandemic first broke out.
Positivity Rate:
As per the latest data shared by NCOC, Pakistan's current positivity rate at 3.96 per cent. The highest positivity ratio was observed in Hyderabad at 11.57 per cent, followed by Peshawar at 11.29 per cent and Karachi at 10.68 per cent, the NCOC revealed.
