  • The total number of coronavirus cases globally is approaching 70 million figure.

  • The United States is, by far, the most adversely affected country in the world by COVID-19.

2020 has been ravaged by novel coronavirus and its impact on every aspect of life. The devastation caused by the viral disease is unprecedented in recent history.

Few countries have fared better in the ongoing pandemic and efficiently contained the infection. While some countries have been unable to curtail the spread of the flu bug resulting in millions of infections. Particularly three nations named the US, India, and Brazil have failed miserably in their attempts to contain the virus.

These three nations account for almost half of total global cases. A combined 33 million cases out of the total 69 million means 47% of the total coronavirus cases belong to the residents of just three countries. This is mind-boggling.

To date, the US has reported 15.8 million COVID-19 cases, India 9.7 million, while Brazil is the third worst-hit nation with more than 6.7 million confirmed cases.
