Covid-19: A record 10,771 deaths in the last 24 hours shock the world
The coronavirus situation is getting out of control in most parts of the globe. The number of new cases is increasing daily and with it, the viral fatalities are also surging. Record-breaking numbers of Covid-19 cases and deaths are being seen every other day in several countries.
- In the last 24 hours, 10,771 people died due to coronavirus-related reasons across the world. It's the highest ever single-day death tally of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Among the countries that have reported the most number of coronavirus deaths, the United States leads the charts with more than 258,000 deaths. Brazil and India are second and third respectively. Brazil has reported over 168,000 deaths while 132,000 people have died due to Covid in India. Mexico is the other country that has reported over 100,000 coronavirus deaths.
