Coronavirus is still rampant in several cities of Pakistan as it continues to claim lives.

• In the past 24 hours, 1,650 new COVID-19 cases were detected in the country while 9 people died due to the viral infection.

According to the coronavirus statistics provided by the federal government, these are the latest Pakistan figures:

New Cases: +1,650

Total Deaths: 6,977
New Deaths: +9

Total Recovered: 318,881

Active Cases: 18,981

Critical Cases: 972

Yesterday, the most number of cases were confirmed in Sindh where over 600 people tested positive for the virus. In the last 24 hours, Hyderabad showed the highest positivity rate across the country where 16% of the people sampled for the virus tested positive.
