Pakistan: Over 300,000 COVID patients have fully recovered
- Pakistan is the 14th country to report over three hundred thousand recoveries
Today, the number of coronavirus recoveries in Pakistan crossed the 300,000 mark.
According to the official figures provided by the federal government's website, 467 new cases were reported in the country and 6 people succumbed to the viral disease in the last 24 hours. Tally of COVID-19 cases in the country currently stands at 315,727.
As of today, 300,616 coronavirus patients have fully recovered from the disease but still 8,588 active cases are present in the country. A majority of these active cases are recuperating at their homes with mild or no symptoms at all.
Although one can not rule out the possibility of reinfections, but latest researches have shown that the likelihood of one person getting coronavirus infection twice is very slim.
Thus far, Pakistan has been a lucky nation that has made an impressive recovery from the pandemic but it should be noted that the scare of the second wave of the virus in winter is very much there. It's imperative that we keep following Covid SOPs and especially wear masks in public so that we can keep the virus at bay.
