Sindh reports ZERO Covid-death for the first time in almost 6 months
Yesterday, no Covid-related death was reported in the Sindh province for the first time in almost six months.
Coronavirus has devastated all regions of Pakistan but especially Sindh. The province has reported the most number of cases (130,483) in the country. With 2,422 Covid-related deaths, Sindh also tops the death tally among all the provinces.
But for the past couple of months, the coronavirus has been contained effectively in the whole of Pakistan including Sindh. The number of new cases and deaths have been dwindling steadily in the province. In the last 24 hours, 230 new cases were reported in the second-most populous province of Pakistan and the good news is that zero death was reported. The last time no Covid-death was reported in a day was almost six months back on 19th March.
Chief Minister Sindh, Murad Ali Shah tweeted regarding the good news, he said:
After almost six very difficult months, today we have had no Covid related death in Sindh. Alhamdullillah. The last time we had zero deaths was 19th March 2020. Keep yourselves & your families safe. Remember to wear a mask. May Allah continue to keep all of safe from this virus.
Pakistan's latest COVID-19 situation:
484 new cases were reported in Pakistan in the last 24 hours taking the total cases to 298,509. With 2 casualties reported in the last 24 hours, total deaths have reached 6,342. Over 285,898 people have fully recovered in the country from the coronavirus and the number of active cases has shrunken to 6,269.
