PM arrives Karachi to unveil development package worth Rs802 billion
Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Karachi on Saturday for a day-long visit
As per details, the prime minister will chair a key meeting on transformation of Karachi, besides holding separate meetings with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Governor Imran Ismail.
The premier will also visit Pakistan Stock Exchange and hold other key meetings.
He will also be briefed about the recent situation in Karachi after the rains.
Under the Prime Minister's visit to Karachi, six projects of mass transit systems have also been announced for the metropolis. These projects will cost over Rs 447 billion. The Karachi Circular Railway project worth Rs 300 billion is also included in the plan.
Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar added that the premier will announce the "biggest development package" in the country's history for any city during his visit.
