Asim Saleem Bajwa decides to resign as SAPM on information
ISLAMABD: Chairman China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Lieutenant General (rtd) Asim Saleem Bajwa has decided to step down from the post Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information.
However, he clarified that he will continue to retain the post of CPEC Authority chairman.
His announcement comes hours after he rejected allegations against him and his family members regarding assets in a detailed rebuttal.
Talking to a private news channel, Bajwa said that he will continue as chairman of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority.
“I will talk to Prime Minister Imran Khan about my resignation,” he said, adding that he did not want to get appointed as SAPM. "I have decided that my attention should be focused at one point."
