Pakistan: Active COVID-19 cases have dropped below 10,000

The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Pakistan has dropped below the figure of 10,000 for the first time in four months.

The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Pakistan has dropped below the figure of 10,000 for the first time in four months.

The newly reported coronavirus cases have been dropping significantly in the country for the past month or so and the number of recoveries is increasing, this has led to a fall in the number of active viral cases.

As of today, a total of 9,031 active coronavirus cases are present in the country. It makes today the first occasion in which the number of active cases has dropped below 10,000 since April 25.

Currently, Pakistan has 294,193 COVID-19 cases with 482 new cases being reported in the last 24 hours. 6,267 people have died due to COVID-related causes so far, with 12 people dying in the last 24 hours in the country.
