LAHORE: Federal Information Minister Shibli Faraz on Wednesday said that even if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf stays in government or not it will not give any NRO to opposition over the NAB law amendments.

He was talking to media after meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.

He said the government will not allow the opposition to link amendments to the NAB law with anything else.

The opposition wants to bargain for its interests against making amendments to NAB law, the information minister said. “All Parties Conference is a collection of political unemployed and orphans,” Shibli Faraz said, while responding to a question.

He said in new Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan there will be only politics of honesty and sincerity.

“New Pakistan is moving forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan while the government took concrete steps to get the economy out of the maelstrom.”

Separately, Minister for Power Division Omar Ayub Khan said the government is taking various initiatives for the development of the energy sector.

Addressing the launching ceremony of Pakistan's First Electric Charging Station in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said it is a welcoming initiative and an important step towards Clean and Green Pakistan.

Omar Ayub Khan said 24 electric stations will be set up in future, which will help common people of the country. He said the government is taking solid steps to control environmental pollution.

Speaking on the occasion, Special Assistant on Petroleum Nadeem Babar said opening of a charging station in Islamabad will help encourage electric vehicles as future transportation in the country.

He said this initiative is a welcoming move for the country, which will soon witness electric vehicles running on roads.

The special assistant said it will also help the Prime Minister campaign of Clean and Green Pakistan.—INP
