CM Buzdar directs to take steps for stability in flour, sugar prices
LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar on Sunday has directed to take every possible administrative step for stability of flour and sugar prices.
In a statement, the CM ordered to take legal action against those raising prices as per their wills. Won’t allow anyone to create artificial inflation in the province, he pledged.
Usman Buzdar further said that nation’s interest is our first priority. I want results at any cost, he added.
The reaction came after Chakki owners in Lahore increased the price of flour by Rs 2 per kilogram.
According to president Naan Roti Association, the new price of flour will be Rs 70 per kilogram as government has failed to decrease the wheat price.
He said that the price of wheat in grain markets has crossed Rs 2,300 per 40 kg bag.
On the other hand, Muttahida Naan Roti Association also hinted to go on strike after Eid-ul-Azha.
