Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan passes away
Bollywood’s veteran choreographer Saroj Khan, The three-time National Award winner, who had choreographed some of the most memorable songs in Hindi cinema, has passed away early Friday morning.
According to details, choreographer Saroj Khan died today in Mumbai due to cardiac arrest, Her mandatory Covid-19 test showed a negative result ruling out the probability of having her contracted Coronavirus.
The news was confirmed by Saroj’s daughter Sukaina Khan.
Reportedly, the choreographer was admitted to Mumbai's Guru Nanak Hospital last week after her condition deteriorated and died of cardiac arrest early this morning.
Known as "Masterji", her career spans over forty years, in which she choreographed over 2000 hit songs.
Her most successful collaborations were with actors Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit. Her first prominent work was with Sridevi in Mr. India in which she choreographed the famous ‘Hawa Hawai’ song in 1987. Later she worked with Sridevi in numerous hit films like Nagina and Chandni.
