Shahid Afridi and his family have recovered from COVID-19
Finally, some good news to hear in this coronavirus pandemic. Shahid Afridi and his family have defeated COVID-19. The Pakistani cricket legend notified the public regarding his and his family's health situations via popular social media site Twitter.
Pakistani superstar had tested positive for novel coronavirus on 13th June last month and was in self-isolation since then. Afridi, 40, had contracted the virus as he was busy day and night in relief efforts across the country since the start of lockdown in March. Unfortunately, his family also contracted the virus and they were also in quarantine. Afridi tweeted:
Alhamdulillah, my wife & daughters, Aqsa & Ansha have re-tested after our previously positive results for COVID-19, & are now clear.
Former Pakistan captain also thanked his fans and well-wishers for prayers and messages.
