Legendary cricketer Wasim Akram has turned 54 today. Though lockdown made it impossible for an extravagant birthday affair, it seems that superstar has received many virtual wishes. His wife Shaniera Akram took to Twitter to wish him a happy year ahead. In a lovely Tweet she wrote:

"Happy Birthday, @wasimakramlive .I’ve cleared my schedule for the unforeseeable future.I won’t be meeting anyone, going to salons, seeing friends or leaving the house unnecessarily. I’m literally going stop all social activities just to spend quality time with you #QuarantineBday."

While responding to a question about what she has planned for this birthday, she shared that it was a very "Karachi quarantine birthday" affair.

"An 8.5km isolated walk at 6 am this morning, just had a birthday lunch from Xanders Cafe, sung happy birthday with a cake from PieInTheSky and will play some back yard cricket with the kids after some desi food from BBQTonight. A very Karachi Quarantine Birthday for Waz," she tweeted.

It sure sounds like a birthday we'd want every year; quarantine, or no quarantine.

Meanwhile, Wasim Akram has refused to turn 54. While responding to birthday wishes on Twitter, the cricketer wrote:

"Thank you everyone for all my birthday messages, I’ve spent almost a quarter of this year in quarantine so I really don’t think it’s fair to count this birthday, so I have decided to remain 53 for one more year. It’s only fair."

We feel you Wasim Bhai, we feel you!!
