Poisonous gas claims six lives in Karachi
At least six people have been killed and dozens were hospitalized after being exposed to 'poisonous gas' in Kemari area of Karachi.
Police said victims have been shifted to the hospital and cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained.
Sources said that the leakage occurred during the offloading of chemicals from a cargo ship anchored at Keamari. Pakistan Navy has also sent a team to the affected area in this regard, the port authority told the media.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has sought a report from the authorities.
