Death anniversary of former Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto is being observed with due solemnity in the country on Thursday.

The 12th martyrdom anniversary of first elected woman prime minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto will be commemorated for the first time in Rawalpindi’s Liaqat Bagh today (Friday). A huge public meeting has been planned for the day, which will be addressed by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari apart from other top central and provincial leadership.

Quran khawani and fateha khawani will also be held at all the district offices of Pakistan Peoples Party today.

On the occasion, strict security arrangements have been made to maintain law and order.
