President Dr Arif Alvi has stressed the need for creating opportunities for women in the society to ensure their contribution in the country's progress and prosperity.

Addressing a ceremony regarding Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship program in Islamabad on Thursday, he said the educated women have a crucial role in nurturing and strengthening their family.

The President said transparency in issuance of educational scholarship will be ensured at every cost.

Speaking on the occasion, Special Assistant on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation Dr. Sania Nishtar said Ehsaas program is aimed at bringing paradigm change in the country by steering the people out of poverty.
