Karachi is in the grip of very hot weather with temperatures rising to above 38 degrees.

Meteorological Department has asked the citizens to be careful and avoid going out unnecessarily as the real feel of the temperature is over 40 degrees.

People have been advised to consume liquids as much as possible to stay hydrated and wear light color clothes to lessen the effect of heat.
