PML-Q's Bizenjo elected as new CM of Balochistan
QUETTA: Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo belonging to Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) has been elected as Balochistan’s new chief minister on Saturday.
In the meeting which was held in Balochistan Assembly, headed by Speaker Hameeda Durani, the new chief minister of Balochistan was elected through show-off hand.
PML-Q’s Abdul Qudoos Bizenju and Pashtunkhuwa Milli Awami Party’s Agha Syed Liaqat Ali were the candidate for the post of Balochistan’s new chief minister. There were 54 assembly members in the house.
Qudoos was given 41 votes while his opponent Agha Syed Liaqat Ali only manage to bag 13 votes. In the 65-member house, 44 votes were required for the post of CM.
Assemble members who elected Abdul Qudoos went out from the gate A, while other from gate B.
Qudoos is the youngest chief minister in Balochistan’s history.
