These everyday foods can lead to massive weight gain

WEB DESK: Consuming fresh juices in breakfast, preparing meals in olive oil seem very healthy but you will be shocked to learn that it is 'not'. The food we eat almost everyday, that has become part of our daily lives are nothing no good to our body. 

These foods whether eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner are making you gain weight. What one should do in such case is discussed below.

Fresh juice

If you are a huge fan of juices which is also kind of a trend then you need to reconsider your habit. A nutrition and fitness expert JJ Virgin says consuming an apple does a lot different than drinking juice. It is different because whole fruit provides fiber and phytonutrients that slow down the absorption of sugar whereas juicing eliminates such healthy elements from fruit.

Whole milk

Drinking milk is essential for overall health. It can give you an immense amount of calcium which your bones need the most. A glass of whole milk contains 5 grams of saturated fat and 149 calories which is surely a way to weight gain. But you can always find a healthy alternative. According to lifehack, almond and soy milk are much less in calories and packed with healthy elements. Also, almond milk contains only 60 calories as compare to whole milk.

Nuts

Although nuts are filled with protein and omega-3 fatty acids but one can't ignore the fact that they are high in calories too. 1/4 cup of almond has 132 calories. To avoid containing such a number of calories, go for raw almonds and cashews which are lower in fat than roasted and salted ones.

 

Olive oil

When it comes to eating clean, people rushed to buy olive oil. Like everything else, you will have to watch fat and calories a portion of olive oil has. Although this oil has monounsaturated fats which are good. But, it is even good if you watch the quantity you are consuming. Prevention adds, 1/4 cup of olive oil contains around 500 calories and 50 grams of fat. Therefore, it is good to 'less is more' rule in this case.

 

White bread

Surely, white bread is a lifesaver in almost every household. But we often forget how weight gaining it can be. If eating daily - twice, results could be damaging. Meals made with white bread are satisfying indeed but they have very low nutritional values.
