ISLAMABAD: Special Azadi train has begun its countrywide journey from Islamabad as part of 70th Independence anniversary celebrations.

Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb inaugurated the special train on Saturday.

In her address, she said the train portraying the historical and cultural ethos of the country is a reflection of dreams and aspirations of the people of Pakistan.

The minister said stable and peaceful Pakistan we live in today, is a translation of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah`s vision.— Radio Pakistan
