People are sharing photos with grandmas to condemn Trump’s Muslim ban
WEB DESK: Trump’s ban on Muslims split the Muslim living in US to their grandparents, grandchildren, aunts, uncles and cousins. But this separation is physically, they are still bond together by heart. This came into light, when people started sharing photos with their apart family member to highlight the real victim of this ban.
Trump imposed travel ban on six Muslim countries. Since then, people stand for this brutal ban, and asked to abolish it as it impact on innocent people and would break families.
Now, the country’s Supreme Court has allowed the spouses and parents but not fiancés and grandparents.
Many people argued that grandparents are a part of close relatives. To condemn this, many people are sharing adorable pictures of grandparents and asking “is this a face of terror?â€
Analyst of Iranian-American “Holly Dagres†started a campaign on social media. She posted her image with her grandmother with the hashtag #BannedGrandmas #GrandparentsNotTerrorists. Her post went viral and melts heart of zillions.
She shared many pictures of grandmas and asked whose grandmother has ever committed a terrorist attack?
She said, “Grandfathers are really important, but I think it’s the grandmas that symbolise the nucleus of the family,†says Dagres. “The only thing grandmothers are really guilty of is giving too many hugs and kisses and feeding you too much. When has a senior citizen ever committed an act of terror?â€
“The travel ban is absurd and unjustified on so many levels,†she argues. “This concept of ‘bona fide relationship’ is bogus. Close family doesn’t actually apply to blood ties,â€.
The ban was imposed on 29 June, since than she has gained 1500 followers.
