Here's why Naila Jaffri denied Government help
WEB DESK: The veteran actress of Pakistan Television Industry, Naila Jaffri who has worked in number of successful TV serials has denied aid from Government for her cancer treatment. Â
Last month the news broke out on Internet that Jaffri has battling cancer. The news was exaggerated that actress's condition was severe. But she denied it and cleared that she has ovarian cancer which is on third stage now and she recovering.
The TV actress had applied for help from President Mamnoon Hussain’s Artist Welfare Fund. Also, the cheque of rupees 500,000 is about to issue by the Welfare but she will not accept it now in a protest due to ongoing events in the country as the government has permitted an Indian magnate and he violated visa policy.
While talking to local media she added,"I cannot accept a dime from the government that entertains people from the very country that has been plotting against us our interests and our people."
Naila Jaffri also cleared that she is glad government offered her help but “I am glad that the government decided to offer me help but I really can’t accept this fund under present circumstances. The love, respect and prayers I have received from my people when they came to know of my illness is unimaginable and I won’t do anything that hurts their feelings. â€
Her love for her fans and respect for the country are surely praise worthy and we are praying for her speedy recovery.
