PARTLY FACETIOUS: The guy reminds me of Charlie Chaplin

"After seeing the victims of the chemical attack in Syria I really can't disagree with what Trump did in launching over 50 Tomahawk missiles."

"Right if you recall a survey carried out more than eight years ago showed that the Pakistani public was supportive of the Taliban and against the US but once the Taliban began killing Pakistanis in Imam Bargahs and markets, public opinion changed."

"Right but as a general rule I don't quite believe the result of surveys carried out locally".

"And that is precisely why survey companies liaise with internationally well-known survey companies. There is International Republican Institute (IRI) Pakistan which in October gave a glowing report to Mian sahib as the most popular guy in the country which prompted IRI US led by McCain to put on the following statement on its website dated 9 February 2017: this survey was undertaken to provide a tool for political parties to develop sound policy solutions that reflect public priorities. As such, IRI does not intend to release the information publicly but rather seeks to have it inform policy development undertaken by Pakistan's political parties."

"Right, and by March 30 2017 IRI closed its office in Pakistan as per its website."

"Hmm and then there is Gallup Pakistan, an affiliate of Gallup International but survey results on Gallup International's website do not include the results of the Survey by Gallup Pakistan which again has shown Mian sahib is the most liked politician in the country."

"Indeed but months before Donald Trump's election and the potential shake-up in U.S. policy toward Asia, Gallup International did a survey which included Pakistan and the conclusion was that only 6 percent of Pakistanis thought US would defend them in case of an attack in contrast to 37 percent in India. And 82 percent Pakistanis thought US would not defend us in contrast to India's 33 percent."

"Interesting and now Harvard/Lahore University of Management Sciences has come up with a survey..."

"Yep and the conclusion is that voters trust the Sharifs and not the Khan for uplift and while corruption is an issue for a minority yet anti-corruption campaigns that do not deal with economic issues are unlikely to resonate."

"Panama eat your heart out."

"Indeed but the reason for the survey result could be that the Sharifs have successfully become extremely wealthy by world standards while the Khan hasn't."

"Don't be facetious, anyway the survey was limited to only three Lahore constituencies and one of them was of the only sadiq (honest) PML-N in the national assembly, yes I refer to Ayaz Sadiq."

"Ah yes the guy reminds me of Charlie Chaplin."

"Dear Lord!"
