Ongoing road development schemes to be completed in next two months
KARACHI: Ongoing road sector development schemes in the province and its capaital Karachi will be completed in next two months' time, said Chief Secretary of Sindh, Rizwan Memon here on Monday.
Talking to the participants of 106th National Management Course (NMC), presently on a study tour of Sindh, he said all development work in the province was being carried out with utmost transparency.
Chairman, Sindh Planning and Development Board, Muhammad Waseem, Home secretary, Kazi Shhaid Pervez,Secretary for Energy Development, Agha Wasif Abbas, Finance Secretary, Hassan Naqvi and Director General, Sindh Board of Investment, Tanvir Qureishi also briefed the NMC participants about progress being in their respective fields.
NMC Director General, Naeem Akhter later thanked the provincial government officials for facilitating the course participants.
According to a press release issued by provincial chief secretary's office Prof.Justin Yifu Lin, Dean, Institute of South Cooperation, Peking University all had a meeting with CS Rizwan Memon.
The two exchanged views on issues related to economic development in the region.
Chief Secretary alongwith Chairman of Planning and Development, Muhammad Waseen gave a detailed presentation on development projects in Sindh.
Prof. Lin, also the Director of Economic Affairs, Peking University and also former Chief Economist and former Vice President, World Bank hoped that meaningful Chinese investment will find its way in the province.-APP
