Terror attack in Kurram Agency claims 22 lives

PARACHINAR: Twenty-two people were martyred and ninety five injured in a bomb blast in Parachinar, Kurram Agency on Friday.

According to sources of Political Administration Kurram Agency, the bomb was planted in a vehicle.

The injured have been shifted to Agency Headquarters Hospital Parachinar.

The blast also destroyed five vehicles and several shops.

According to official sources, twenty-seven injured have been shifted to CMH Peshawar through Army helicopter.

Strongly condemning the blast, President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have reiterated the government's  resolve to eliminate menace of terrorism from the country at all costs.

In his condolence message, the President expressed heartfelt condolences over the loss of precious human lives in the blast.

Sympathizing deeply with the bereaved families, Prime Minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and  speedy recovery of the injured.

He said it is our national duty to continue this war till the complete annihilation of the scourge of terrorism from our soil.

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq,Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan have also condemned the blast.

Meanwhile, Army Medical evacuation helicopter have flown to Parachinar for speedy evacuation of injured in the blast.

Speaker and Deputy Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Murtaza Javed Abbasi have strongly condemned the blast in Parachinar.

In statements on Friday, they expressed their grief sorrow over the loss of precious lived in the incident.

They said that the elements involved in such heinous crimes are the enemies of the country and they will be brought into justice.

They prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and for early health recovery of the injured. They expressed their sympathy with the bereaved families.—Radio Pakistan
