Prices of fruits, vegetables remains stable in posh areas markets

ISLAMABAD: Prices of fruits and vegetables overall remained stable with minor fluctuation in some items here at Kohsar Market, Super Market and Jinnah Super Market.

According to the Islamabad Market Committee's price list issued here on Tuesday, the prices of various fruits and
vegetables showed no major difference from the price list of the previous week.

According to price list, potato was sold at Rs 29 per kilogram, Onion Rs 39, Tomato Rs 128/98, Ginger Rs 97, Garlic
(China) Rs 300, Garlic Local Rs 180, Lemon Rs 180, Lady Finger Rs 125, Pumpkin Rs 34, Brinjal Rs 42, Peas Rs 35, Fresh-Bean Rs 69, Tinda Walaiti (Imported gourd small) Rs 34, Cucumber Rs 28, Capsicum Rs 60/40, Green Chilli Rs 90, Cauliflower Rs 36/26, Cabbage Rs 27, Bitter Gourd Rs 145/98, Green Zucchini Rs 92, Spinach Rs 23/17, Raddish Rs 22, Turnip Rs 26, Yam Rs 78, Maroo Rs 31, Carrot Rs 38, Chicken Rs 192 and Egg per dozen Rs 87.

Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo)
Rs 142/100, Apple Golden Rs 110/64, Apple White Rs 100/56, Apple China Rs 208/150, Banana Pak Rs 118/70, Guava 110/56, Pomegranate Rs 245/185, Kino Rs 90/60, Pear China Rs 158/138, Melon Rs 63/48 and Strawberry Rs 255/210.
