Prices of fruits, vegetables stable in markets

ISLAMABAD: Prices of fruits and vegetables overall remained stable with minor fluctuation in some items here at Kohsar Market, Super Market and Jinnah Super Market.

According to the Islamabad Market Committee's price list issued here on Tuesday, the prices of various fruits and
vegetables showed no major difference from the price list of the previous week.

According to price list, potato was sold at Rs 30 per kilogram, Onion Rs 36, Tomato Rs 88, Ginger Rs 95, Garlic (China) Rs 302, Garlic Local Rs 242, Lemon Rs 143, Lady Finger Rs 82, Pumpkin Rs 70, Brinjal Rs 60, Peas Rs 44, Fresh-Bean Rs 62, Tinda Walaiti (Imported gourd small) Rs 35, Cucumber Rs 34, Capsicum Rs 68/47, Green Chilli Rs 150, Cauliflower Rs 36/26, Cabbage Rs 30, Bitter Gourd Rs 180, Green Zucchini Rs 92, Spinach Rs 20/15,
Raddish Rs 20, Turnip Rs 27, Yam Rs 82, Maroo Rs 34, Carrot Rs 30, Chicken Rs 162 and Egg per dozen Rs 77.
Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo)
Rs 142/105, Apple Golden Rs 120/75, Apple White Rs 110/76, Apple China Rs 215/155, Banana Pak Rs 122/68, Guava 112/62, Pomegranate Rs 230/170, Kino Rs 88/56, Pear China Rs 165/135, Melon Rs 85/62
and Strawberry Rs 250/185.
