WEB DESK: If you love spicy food, add some more hot peppers to it as it may increase your lifespan, proved by a research done by Larner College of Medicine. Moreover, these peppers also help in loosing weight and fasten metabolism.

The researchers conduct a research and found out that hot red chili peppers (not Red Hot Chili Peppers) increases the years of person's life as it lowers risk of death to 13%, specifically deaths that are caused by heart disease or stroke.

The findings of this group of researchers are based on data collected in 23 years from 16,000 Americans. People who consumed hot red chili peppers, except for ground chili peppers, were taken as chili pepper consumers. However, the shock was revealed when it was figured out that death rate of pepper consumers was around (21.6%) which was lowers than participant who did not consume any peppers that was (33.6%).

However, the researchers of this study are unable to find why peppers could lower death risks. It could be linked with Capsaicin (primary element of chilli peppers). Also, its receptors in human body are called TRP channels. Moreover, the Capsaicin helps in improving digestion and it also has antioxidant properties that fight against various kinds of infections. It may fight cardiovascular disease. Plus, there are types of TRP channels that may protect a person against obesity.

Hence, from now onwards, do not hesitate to add more chilies to your delish meals.
