PSL 2017: Foreign players agrees to visit Pakistan for final

SHARJAH: Foreign players has shown their interest and ready to visit Pakistan for final match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) second edition, on Tuesday, Aaj News reported. 

According to reports, the players Darren Sammy and bowler Chris Jordan of Peshawar Zalmi are ready to come to Pakistan whereas the trio Chris Gayle, Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawerdene of Karachi Kings are not coming to Pakistan for final match. However, according to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) around 50 players are in contact and the drafting for final will be held in Dubai on 22 February.

Previously, a meeting was held between PSL management and franchise owners, to decide the PSL final in Lahore. It was decided that the final of the PSL will be held in Lahore, whether or not international players agree to play or not.

"It has been heart-warming to see the dedication of all the owners to the cause of taking cricket back home and there is a realisation that this final will be the first step in opening the gates to international teams starting to make the journey again," said Sethi while speaking of the meeting.

"We are all committed to this mission and wish to have a thoroughly entertaining final where it should happen - in Lahore," he added.
