Panamagate case: SC adjourns hearing till Monday
ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court on Friday resumed hearing of the Panama leaks case against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Aaj News reported.Â
A five-member larger bench led by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa heard the case.
The Prime Minister's lawyer Makhdoom Ali Khan continued presenting evidence in the case. He said that the Prime Minister could not be disqualified without a declaration from the court.
Later, the court adjourned hearing till Monday. The counsel for Prime Minister Makhdoom Ali Khan will continue his arguments in the next hearing.
During the last hearing, the PM’s counsel Makhdoom Ali Khan denied that his client had anything to do with the London flats. Nawaz Sharif was not director or shareholder of an offshore company, nor was he its beneficial owner, Khan said.
On which Justice Khosa remarked, “The prime minister’s lawyer will have to satisfy the court."
