Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali is likely to announce a one-member commission of the apex court judge today (Friday) to probe the Panamagate case.

Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali is set to retire on December 30 so it would be one of the important orders of his entire career as a judge.

On December 06, appearing before a five-member larger bench led by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, comprising Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Amir Hani Muslim, Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh and Justice Ijazul Ahsan in the Panama Leaks case, one of the petitioners, Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed requested the Chief Justice to ask the proposed commission to finalise its probe before December 30.

Responding to AML chief, Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa said, "Mr Sheikh, have trust in us", adding, "We will also administer justice according to law."

It is important to mention that no judge from the larger bench would head for the proposed Commission because the Commission would have to submit its findings in the matter before this bench for a final verdict.

The larger bench of Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali is scheduled to resume hearing of the Panama Leaks case on December 09 (today).

If the formation of a commission is announced today in the matter then there are strong possibilities that it will probe only one point: what was the source that Sharif family put to purchase the Mayfair properties in London?

The high-powered Commission would also be asked to probe the matter within the stipulated time with the support of private and public institutions and agencies.
