Recipe of the day: Nargisi Kofta
- For Kofta’s:
- Chicken mince ½ kg
- Coriander ½ bunch
- Green chili 5 – 6
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- All spice powder ½ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Onion 2 tbsp (fried ,chopped)
- Egg 8 (hard boil)
- Oil for frying
- Flour to roll eggs
- For Gravy:
- Oil 3/4 cup
- Onion 3
- Green cardamom 6 – 7
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Red chili powder 1 ½ tsp
- Coriander powder 2 tsp
- Yogurt 1 cup
- Nutmeg and mace ½ tsp
- All spice powder ½ tsp
- Cream ½ cup
Cooking Directions
- For Kofta’s: Chopperize all ingredients except boiled eggs and keep aside.
- Roll the boiled eggs in flour and coat with the mixture of mince and spices.
- Refrigerate the egg mince balls (kofta’s) for half an hour.
- After that heat oil in a pan and fry egg mince balls (kofta’s) on medium flame.
- Kofta’s are ready.
- For Gravy: Put a pan on stove heat oil and fry onions in it remove onion from oil and grind it.
- Add cardamom in oil then add ginger garlic paste, salt, chili powder, coriander powder, mix it well for few minutes.
- Beat yogurt and add into spices, add fried onion, nutmeg, mace, all spice powder and cook for 5 minutes.
- Remove from flame, add cream and mix; put kofta’s in the gravy and serve.
