Defamation case against CM Punjab: hearing adjourned till Dec 9

ISLAMABAD: The local court of Islamabad has adjourned the hearing of defamation case worth Rs 30 billion against Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif till December 9, Aaj News reported. 

Rs 30 billion defamation case against CM Punjab filed by PTI secretary general Jahangir Tareen heard in the court of district sessions judge Kamran Basharat Mufti, today.

Zafir Khan Junior to Mustafa Ramday counsel for CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif appeared in the court.

He prayed the court that senior counsel could not appear before it due to his pre-occupation.

The court while adjourning the hearing of the case till December 9 issued orders for filing power of attorney.

Counsel for Jahangir Tareen has claimed that CM Punjab has leveled baseless allegations including loan written off of  millions of rupees against Jahangir Tareen.
