ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah said that the post of CoAS should be given to the senior-most officer of Pakistan Army, adding that the Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) General Raheel Sharif has spent a historical period, Aaj News reported.

Opposition leader lauded the services of CoAS General Raheel Sharif, said that CoAS had faced several challenges and was leaving the post honourably. He would be considered one of the non-controversial army heads, Shah added.

Khursheed Shah further said, “I always appreciated Raheel  Sharif’s way of command and I wish general should continue his services for nation through any means.”

While talking about the Panamagate scandal, Shah said that instead of believing any other institution, Panama issue must be resolved through the interference of parliament.
