Climate Change: US lauds Pakistan for ratification of Paris agreement
US ambassador to Pakistan, David Hale has said his country desires enhanced people-to-people relations with Pakistan.
He was addressing a three-day international conference on effects of climate change in Islamabad on Saturday. The ambassador appreciated Pakistan for its ratification of the Paris agreement on climate change.
He said, "The entire world community needs joint endeavours to deal with challenges of climate changes as the impacts are not limited to any particular region."
Speaking on the occasion, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed said, "Climate change is at present the biggest threat to humanity."
He stressed the need for diligent efforts to ensure safe future for the coming generations. The conference was attended by over 250 experts from Pakistan-America alumni network apart from regional countries.
