Hate Speech Case: Mayor's bail approved
KARACHI: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) approved bail of Karachi's mayor and representative of Muttahida Qoumi Movement (MQM) Waseem Akhtar in hate speech case today on Saturday, Aaj News reported.Â
According to the reports, Anti terrorism court (ATC) has granted bail to mayor of Karachi Waseem Akhtar along with other other (MQM) representative Rauf Siddiqui.
However, non bailable arrest warrants of (MQM)'s Farooq Sattar, Haider Abbas Rizvi, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Qamar Mansoor, Yousuf Yaar Khan, and Rehan Hashmi were issued as well.
The court approved bail of both representatives against sum of 25,000 separately and adjourned hearing till 1st December, claimed sources.
Sources further revealed that after getting bail in hate speech case, mayor of Karachi required bail in another case which will be heard on 16th November.
