WASHINGTON: U.S. State Department spokesman John Kirby said that they favored democratically elected government and declared 'sit in' of 2nd November as an internal matter of Pakistan on Wednesday, Aaj News reported.  

As reported, while media briefing, Kirby said,"US has favored democratically elected government and peaceful protest however, sit in of 2nd November is an internal matter of Pakistan".

The spokesperson declared attack on police training centre in Quetta as a cowardly attack and appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Army regarding war against terrorism.

"US will support Pakistan till the elimination of terrorism", Kirby further added.
